Two or more Anti-Malware product could not work together as real-time , so if you run Bitdefender and real-time protection is build into it, then it will turn off Windows Defender but Windows Security Center still shows status of Bitdefender like if it is on and update. Hi Wendy When BitDefender is installed it will automatically turn off Windows Defender Passive Mode However, Windows may at a later stage turn on Defender and those actually can co-exist and run side by side It is not a good idea to have the two running side y side, because they will basically be fighting each other for control of your system and that will result in a loss of performance on your PC.
